There are 17 gallons of paint and a sprayer in the back of Steve's truck. The outside of the house has been washed and scrubbed. The overgrown bushes have been pruned for easier access. Stray nails have been pulled. Peeling paint has been sloughed with a stiff brush. Pots, watering cans, and patio furniture have been moved away from the house. I have three new blisters on my hands, sunburned shoulders, and a gaping hole in my bank account.
